Purcell - King Arthur - Vox Luminis - Valletta Baroque Festival

I first visited Malta in January 2013, stepping in at very short notice to perform Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 [BWV 1047] in the Valletta Baroque Festival. (Incidentally, one of the violinists in that orchestra recalled that I could ‘jump in’ at short notice on that notorious piece, and she put my name forward to record that iconic concerto at very short notice as part of the Ansbach Bach

Charpentier - Te Deum - Vox Luminis - Musikfest Bremen

Five years ago, I performed Delalande’s Te Deum with Vox Luminis in the Utrecht Early Music Festival. We performed the Te Deum four times, and four audiences walked between four different venues in Utrecht to hear four different programmes. We also used four trumpets, although only two parts were notated by the composer: I wrote trumpet parts for the occasion to ensure a good realisation

Handel - Ode for St Cecilia's Day - Vox Luminis - Royal Chapel, Versailles

When I first visited the Palace of Versailles on a school history trip in March 2005 I would never have imagined that I would, one day, have the opportunity to play there as a professional trumpet player. Since then I have performed and recorded in the Opéra Royal de Versailles with Les Talens Lyriques (often playing operas that were originally performed there, such as Lully’s Alceste and
