Mozart - Coronation Mass - St. Anne’s Kew Green

‘Gloria in Excelsis’, ‘Sanctus’ and ‘Agnus Dei’ from Mozart’s ‘Coronation Mass’ (K.317) were performed as parts of the Easter Sunday service (Sung Eucharist with Holy Baptism) at the Parish Church of St. Anne in Kew Green on Easter Sunday, 16th April 2017. I played first trumpet in the orchestra, directed by Chad Kelly. The Choir of St. Anne’s Kew Green sang brilliantly under Chad’s enthusiastic direction.

The service ended with Chad Kelly performing an organ recessional - a staggeringly brilliant performance of J. S. Bach’s ‘Fugue in E-flat major’ (BWV 552/2) from Bach’s Clavier-Übung III, its triple fugue thought to symbolise the Trinity.
