Just before the roads closed for the Isle of Man TT Races today, as an extra part of his initiation as a marshal - Russell was asked if he would entertain the assembled spectators by his fellow marshals at Quarterbridge.

Walking through the crowds, Russell played such classics as 'Indiana Jones', 'Star Wars', 'What a Wonderful World', 'Animal Hospital', 'The Final Countdown' and 'Cantina Band' from Star Wars on this unusual Renaissance instrument. Roger Birtles' (right) enthusiastic hat-shaking helped them to raise a remarkable £85 for the TT Helicopter Fund.
