As well as being a fabulous day for the happy couple it was also a great excuse for me to spend time in the wonderful city of Oxford. The Ashmolean Museum's collection of instruments is currently being refurbished so unfortunately there were no instruments out on display - including the fantastic silver trumpet by William Bull. I hope to see this trumpet again on my next visit. This didn't dampen my spirits as there is always something to see and something to learn in Oxford.
