I performed Handel’s Messiah with Oxford Baroque on Monday 29th of June 2015 at the Church of St John the Evangelist on Iffley Road as part of the MCS Arts Festival 2015. 

It was an enjoyable day in Oxford and the orchestra was brilliant - musically and socially. The weather was especially warm which made for a nice contrast from the seemingly sub-zero temperatures we feel like we experience during Messiahs in churches in December. I enjoyed playing 'The Trumpet Shall Sound' and the concert was full of pleasing musical moments.



Thank you to all involved and congratulations to all of the singers and soloists. I was impressed with the young singers - with both their abilities and their maturity - and congratulations must also go to their teachers for helping them to prepare to such a high standard. It was really touching to see the students being greeted and rewarded after the concert by their relatives who had come to support them.
